Senior Software Engineer (Node.js)

About the Role

Sitgram is looking for a skilled and responsible Senior Software Engineer (Node.js) to join our growing team. This role requires strong full stack engineering capability, leadership mindset, problem-solving skills, and hands-on experience in building scalable software products.

The ideal candidate will lead development initiatives, mentor team members, and contribute to product architecture, backend systems, frontend delivery, and overall engineering quality.

Key Responsibilities

Full Stack Engineering

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using Node.js and modern frontend technologies.

• Build secure REST APIs, backend services, dashboards, and customer-facing platforms.

• Develop responsive UI/UX with React.js / Next.js / modern JavaScript frameworks.

• Integrate third-party APIs, payment systems, authentication, and cloud services.

• Optimize performance, security, and scalability of applications.

Preferred Technical Knowledge

• Strong understanding of Monorepo architecture and workflow.

• Experience with tools such as Nx, Turborepo, pnpm workspace, Yarn workspace, Lerna or similar.

• Ability to manage shared packages, reusable components, common utilities, and multi-app codebases.

• Experience maintaining scalable frontend + backend projects inside a single repository.

• Knowledge of CI/CD optimization, build caching, dependency management, and version control in monorepo environments.

• Ability to establish clean folder structure, code ownership, and team collaboration processes for monorepo projects.

Leadership & Team Collaboration

• Lead small to mid-size engineering teams and coordinate development tasks.

• Review code, maintain coding standards, and ensure best practices.

• Mentor junior developers and support skill growth within the team.

• Collaborate with product, design, QA, and management teams.

• Help estimate project timelines and technical planning.

System & Product Ownership

• Participate in software architecture and database design.

• Troubleshoot production issues and implement long-term solutions.

• Manage deployment processes and CI/CD workflows.

• Ensure product stability, maintainability, and documentation.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience with Node.js.

• Strong experience in JavaScript / TypeScript.

• Hands-on experience with React.js / Next.js or similar frontend frameworks.

• Strong knowledge of MongoDB / PostgreSQL / MySQL.

• Experience with Git, Docker, cloud hosting, and deployment pipelines.

• Good understanding of software architecture and scalable systems.

• Leadership ability with strong communication skills.

• Problem-solving mindset and ownership attitude.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in SaaS or product-based companies.

• Experience with AWS / DigitalOcean / VPS infrastructure.

• Familiarity with AI integrations, automation tools, or modern SaaS trends.
